First Alpha session. Great fun.
Turn up and thought 5.2m but it looked to have dropped a little as I stood around, Crossy turned up and I convinced him it was 5.8m weather despite his better judgement, how wrong I was. Had a couple of runs and could not hold the sail down, back in and rigged the 5.2m. So back out, this time on the 5.2m with the falcon speed. Crossy and I had the plan to do some Alpha racing, only on problem, I can't gybe that well on port tack at the best of times and when that gybe spot is on the windest part on the coruse it's not good. I don't think I got more that one gybe in on port tack. Running up the coruse and gybing was the best option.
Even with the 5.2m I could hold it down on a lot of the runs and was was regularly been lifted. On the last run spun-out and crashed. A good sail with Crossy

Great pics Neil, looks very windy and very smooth by the wall, poor F Speed looks a bit shagged, how bout yourself.
Great alpha speeds chaps! Thanx to Mark for doing the cam work. West Kirby ... windy and empty nice one. Shame it wasn't a tad broader on port.
