Virtual-WORLDWIDE Speed Windsurf Event
As a tribute to the LÜDERITZ SPEED CHALLENGE we are racing together from the 1st of October till the 1st of December.
the ultimate World Record hunt in Namibia- The Lüderitz Speed Challenge has also been postponed to next year due to the Covid 19 situation.
For this reason we will organize this online challenge to keep the spirit up
This year, in this exceptional situation that the whole world is experiencing with all the travel limitations that are being imposed on us, we are happy to continue with the competition format to stay motivated and find more windsurfer for the speedsurfing discipline.
Because it’s also our main motivation to mobilize the entire windsurfing community and regain relative normality through our sport as soon as possible using current technology to compete together from any country in the world without traveling, while promoting windsurfing as an ecological sport and healthy lifestyle.
So everybody starts to tune his gear because this year the fastest can win:
In this event we will award the following categories (accoarding to gp3s):
- OPEN MALE & FEMALE
- Youth (0-10)
- Junior (11-14)
- Junior Plus (15-18)
- GRAND MASTER (51-60)
- Super Master (61-70)
- Ultimate Master (71-99)

Every registered windsurf spot is valid.
Date: The Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge tribute to LSC will take place from the 01.10.2020 till 01.12.2020. The winner will be the rider with the fastest average speed on 250m
Registration:
Registration is simple: first register as a user of www.gps-speedsurfing.com. (GP3S)
For Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge tribute to LSC a registration in the Event section is necessary. By this, all participants agree to the terms and conditions of GP3S, including giving us the right to share and publish session data for the rankings of the Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge tribute to LSC and to receive emails related to the event.
Rules:
The Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge tribute to LSC will be based on current GPS-measuring standards and rules. Considering the average speed on 250 m.
Each session you want to publish needs to be uploaded to www.gps-speedsurfing.com
Sessions shall be uploaded at the same day or not later than 01.12.2020. Afterwards sessions cant be considerated allthought the session date was in the event- period.
Sessions posted in the event-period but recorded out of the event-dates will also not enter in the ranking.
All GPS tracks need to be available for verification by the event organization at all times.

GPS Equipment
All GPS units approved by www.gps-speedsurfing.com, which feature ‘Doppler’-Speeds are approved. (see actual device list here)
Entry fee
The Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge tribute to LSC is free and there is no entry fee.
Disclaimer
Every rider has responsibility for himself. He/she has to have all insurances needed. The organizer will not take any responsibility for rescue operations nor racing accidents nor travel issues

Lüderitz Vouchers are exclusively valid for the person who won (no name-change possible) · Voucher only includes the participation in the event (use of the canal) extras like travel, board and lodging or any other extra fee is not included · only valid for the year 2021· NO REFUND possible under no circumstances · Rider only can attend the Lüderitz Speed Challenge if he/ she fulfills all requirements from the event (The voucher cannot override any internal LSC rule nor imigration rules for the country) · Eventually existing or suddenly occurring travel restrictions have to be checked by the traveler and can't be relationated with the both Event organisations (Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge & Lüderitz Speed Challenge) · Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge is not liable for any activities in connection with the Lüderitz Speed Challenge · Vouchers are only associated with the current LSC organization Surf’n’Curve (Pty.) Ltd. The entitlement expires if the event of organizational changes · Liability is excluded, the decision is final, there is no recourse to the courts
