The organising authority or any of their officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or representatives will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the event.
12. Ranking
The overall ranking will be based on 5x10 seconds and the low point scoring system is used with a weight factor depending on the avg speed of the best rider of that day.
(The ‘-‘ sign means till/in Dutch: tot)
High speed race: 70 – 75 km/h score * 1,00
Ultimate speed race: 75> km/h score * 0,50
There will be extra prices available for the overall highest Alpha and Nautical Mile set during the year event.
13. Average speed groups
In 2013 apart from the overall raking also a ranking with average speed groups will be made at the end of each period. A competitor will be placed in a given average speed group based on his/her standing average speed as shown in www.gps-speedsurfing.com. The standing average speed of a given competitor at the start of the first race a competitor takes part in, will be leading. Speed groups will be divided as follows:
<50kmh
50kmh to 55kmh
56kmh to 60kmh
61kmh to 65kmh
66kmh to 70kmh
71kmh to 75kmh
>76kmh.
If a competitor betters his or her average personal best speed as shown in the www.gpsspeedsurfing.com ranking before the second period, the given competitor will be placed in anotherspeed group during the second period. If a competitor didn’t post on www.gps-speedsurfing.combefore the start of the event the competitor may inform the race organization about his/her standing personal best.
14. NK
An NK (Dutch Championship) may be held at a potential Ultimate Speed day.
Remarks:
-A maximum of 2 racing days per stand by period will be held.
-A High wind speed day will count if at least 1 rider set the required minimum speed for that given type of racing day and at least 10 riders set a minimum speed of 65 kilometers.
-An Ultimate speed day will count if at least 1 rider set the required minimum speed for that given type of racing day and at least 5 riders set a minimum speed of 70 kilometers.
-After 3 races one discard is allowed. Every race day will count for the ranking and the result * the factor will be used for calculating the discards. Competitors not participating at a given racing day will get maximum points: total number of competitors inscribed for the event + 1 * 1,50.
-The overall ranking will be based on all races and will take into account the discards.
