I stay at Martins place in Terschelling, he and his father builds a house together here. Unfortunatly Martin just got a 500 kilo H-balk in his forehead, bleading like hell! He is currently at a doctor probably stitching a lot..... Probably no testing of the sandbank today...
Hope you understand what i´m writing, mixing swedish and english. But i think that actually is dutch, almost...

Just back from the doctor, 8 stitches on the forehead. No surfing today anymore but I was lucky nothing severe happened. This afternoon I'm going to help out Mattias to try and get the Swedish top ranking. The tide is real low late this afternoon. I'll lend him my board and fin, so we'll see if he can improve himself. I hope for him the wind stays.

No, this is true. I'm actually lucky as I could have been killed. If I would have leaned a few inches more forward yesterdays session would have been my last.

Sounds like you had a close call there Martin, I guess that even a hard hat would not have given you any protection with those sorts of weights. 500kg on the forehead is worse than being hit by Mike Tyson. Very lucky indeed.

Hi Martin. Good to hear you are OK after your close call. Isn't it amazing how much injury or pain we can ignore when the wind is blowing hard from just the right direction? :-))
Great session!!
