Site update 10 October 2009:
This is a great day. I have finished the “Google earth” add in. You can now:
· See the runs on map (http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=ve-sessions&sessionid=53753)
· See the actual location of the spot (http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=ve-spot&countryid=202&spotid=29
· See where the spots are located in a country (http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=ve-spot&countryid=202
To see this all from a real session:
http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=user&val=53753&uid=53
You will see a globe near “Homespot”, “Spot” and “Average speed”. By clicking on the globe icon for “homespot” and “spot” you can see the exact location of the spot on a map. In the map page you can choose a country to show all known spots for the country or select a specific spot via the spot drop down box. When hovering over a pushpin you see some statistics and you can go the the spot information and ranking page.
By clicking on the globe next to AVG Speed yoy can see the runs on a map. When more than 1 person has posted their speeds you can change the scope to ALL to see al runs on the map.
Besides that you can see a graph in the dayranking showing the times when the 10 sec runs where set.
These functions are available for everybody for the coming month. From 1 November you have to be a gold member to use these functions.
There are two prerequisites before you can see your own tracks on a map:
· GPSAR users: Updated to GPSAR 4.12 and change the autoupload path to: “http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/autoupload.aspx” See the following link for a screen shot: http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/media/uploadimages/gpsar.png
· GPSRESULTS users: unfortunately you have to wait a few days. Manfred will release an update maybe later this week.
Have Fun, greetings Dylan
