Went only for trying a 1 hour run. Was very successful for my standards. Rank 74 overall and 3rd Swede in 1h class at time of registration. Have to take a few screen dumps while it lasts! ;)
Did not go downwind at any time for peak speed.
After 50min the boom was detached from the mast, I had to spend a few minutes in quite high sea trying to fix it. What I uttered then would not look good in writing. Extremely exhausting to go constantly for an hour in the 0.5m chops to 1m small waves. Lots of swell from motorboats. Consequently I missed a lot of gibes in the end. So I think there is huge room for improvement.
Will surely attempt again as soon as there is good wind. Going for 1 hour is great fun, fantastic excersice, particularly in high chop, and gives great insentives to stay fit.
More for the surf diary:
It was a fantastic day at Fiskebaeck. Lots of sunshine and temperature is getting reasonable. (Though I actually still wearing hood.)
Also had a morning session. Less wind, lower speeds. (For reasons I still yet do not grasp, I cannot register here separately as I had the same board.)
Also had a session yesterday. Very bad day. Up and planing twice. Top speed 20 knots. Not worth registering.
