I took the afternoon off work to sail in the best wind for months! I got to the lake at about 2pm to find out that it was super windy and super choppy. My 72L / 54cm slalom board would have been my board of choice but I didn't have it stored at the lake so I used the 92L / 60cm instead. It was the first outing for the 5.5m RS:Racing EVO II and I am very pleased with how it feels out on the water. It is very composed and definitely feels faster than my 5.4m RS:Slalom MK II. The wind was very up and down and I wasn't able to fully open the throttle in the gusts because it was just too choppy. However, I still had a couple of 33 knot peaks which is the fastest that I have managed at Brog this year. I am now feeling ready for some slalom during the bank holiday weekend!
