Inspired by the SP record attempt we decided to go windsurfing real early and check a new speedspot in the North of Holland. It was way too cold to even think about windsurfing with some rain/hail showers hitting us. The best speeds were made on the middle of the lake because it was too gusty behind the ditch. Just when we when we went back to shore the wind truly hit. We were happy to be on the shore though since the temperature dropped to around 0 degrees.

the course is promising but needs a W to NNW wind direction. While at starboard tack with the wind blowing from the "wadden" it could be very good with an expected speed potential up to or close to 44 knots for this spot. It will be interesting to see whether the wind will be constant enough with this wind direction. If so expect some high speeds from the Amstelmeer crew in near future.
