Too freaking cold! I got up at 5.30. Drove fror two hours, trying not to do threesixties with the car because massive hail and snowsqualls tormented the roads towards the North.

The course angle was not great (100-110 degrees) but the water was really flat. I had to bear off to get up to the highest speeds. If it would have been a little warmer I would have rigged the 6,0. Close to the shore the wind is substantially less then further out on the water. But....the course is really promising. It might noit be SP or the canal, but if the course handles 10-15 knots and the water stays flat great speeds are possible and we could finally see some Dutch riders in the 2006 top 10 ranking. So guys, next time try and come over!

I also had a shot on my new canal board, but waterstarting was heavy in the extreme cold (1 degree). Everytime I got cramps in my legs and my hands were being pulled from the boom because of the windchill factor when doing a run. I put my gloves off during the runs to get a decent grip and by the end of the run my finger tips were completely numb
