What a day... The most enjoyable day saiing all year - Decent wind, crystal clear water and warm.
Forecast looked good so arrived at Daymer early and all rigged by 9.30am. Mark Burgess Turned up and all amped and ready to go too. The wind picked up and the sun came out just in time as we hit the water. A little patchy in place but pretty consistent and gusts prob just over 20knots. 7m and Slalom board perfect and could have easily taken 5-10knots more wind. I was looking for the 40 peak today but couldn't find a big gust... Some great runs out through the chop though. Had a good 3hrs and was a little tired to go for some alphas at the end.

The true inspiration of the day was getting my mum out sailing and she was Sensational! She's 65 and only weighs 50kg but she was flying on her 4.5 twin cam in some pretty solid wind at times, and even bearing off down the bank. I'd imagine she's one of the best sailors in the world for her age and if I'm anything like as good as her in a few years i'll be a happy man! Top Stuff
