Drove over the hill on Grundys rd to see everyone blasting so I got some footage with the tripod, still a little shaky though with the gusts coming through. I could see Sam on a 6.2 so I rigged 6.7 and took the 90 and 104 out. When I returned to get the sail the wind dropped out so I rigged the 7.8 and took it out with the 134 to guarantee a sail. Hit the water the same time as Norm and Dave and we had a bit of wind for a while and then it started getting real patchy with distinct wind zones you had to stay in.
A few 20 knot gusts came through and it was quite hairy at times on the 84cm board and 47cm fin, more of a slalom setup and I am a little rusty at balancing big fin lift. Very happy with a pb on the big board of 34.13. My 9.5 arrives soon so I am looking forward to even the light summer breezes. Had a short stint on the 104 when I got some head cam footage.
