The first easterly wind for the whole summer season!
It kept building and probably was gusting to 35 knots after the tide came in too far for the speed course. At the start it was 20-25 gusty ESE and I tried for some Alphas on the Starboard iSonic 87 with Time Machine Speed 26 symmetrical fin.
When the wind swung a bit more ENE I could run the best speed course but by this time the tide was running in and the course quickly gets speed sapping chop on it. After a few runs I went and got my Acid 74 wave board for a fun blast but since I had left the wave sails at home I used the 4.4m Koncept. It is amazing how quick that board gybes. Almost too fast to get the rig flipped! Great fun!
