Great Day,
St Johns is a nice fun spot, and gave us an enjoyable sail today.
I started on the Sonic 85 to get some Alpha times, but it was a bit gusty and i didn't nail my jybes super clean, but plenty more to come on the right day.
The wind picked up towards 4pm and I was able to get out on the speed board, we all sailed the far west bank, where the water was pretty flat but very gusty, 25-30knots one minute and a lot less the next. There was only really one place to bear off on, and the run out of that bank was very short and by the time you were starting to crank it up to a decent speed, it was time to stop before hitting the far mud bank. I had one decent gust and would probably had a 40 peak but had to stop before hitting the mudbank
Good to sail with everyone today and it looks like some decent times will be posted.
Tush X-15 5.8 worked like a dream today, and the 26 on the speedboard certainly helps the upwind somewhat.
