Here is a note to self..... DONT GO TO WEST KIRBY IF THE FORECAST IS SW.
All of wales was blowing at 50knots or so, but nothing was getting through to the lake. We drove all night and got to the lake around 8am. Rigged up two set ups and there was a little breeze in the morning and it seemed as though we might get something decent.... But after 6hrs sitting around we got bored and went in on the slalom gear. The wind was around 10-15 knots with the odd gust to 20 and really hard just to get my slalom board going in the little gusts. It then died away and by 4.30pm we decided to go home..... Bloody long drive for a crap sail.
Looks like the dutchies got some wind later in the day by sailing in the dark LOL.
