Wasn't expecting that....my old small slalom board is still pretty quick. Every year since 2006 I've done at least one 40 knot plus run in the USA, that will be my first this year, max of 42.04 knots on the GW60 GPS,  and makes 17 years in a row. Not a bad record I reckon. Speeds would have been higher if I took out my speedboard but the wind was very gusty so the small slalom fit the bill. Course has silted up quite a bit so had to wait for the tide to come back in to have enough water for the 24cm fin, hit the bottom a few times but got away with it. With the record wet spring here and the huge snowpack hopefully there will be enough runoff to flush out the channel. Weird to get a session here in the summer, storms don't normally come into to Fall/Winter.
