Great session - Nelson Ackerson St - low tide. Wind 20-35knots N. 

I have been waiting for a windy day like this to come around. The wind was N and so the course was very tight and I could sail towards the bank on both tacks. It was slightly biased for the starboard run so I tried the KA Race 5.7, W49, Tribal 19.5 Asy. Sail was rigged to specs as this seemed good the other day. Many runs on this set up while the tide was going out and felt in complete control, many 37s on the clock, tried some tuning but could not get more top speed. The wind was also dropping as it got closer to low tide. 

Switched to Falcon 79 Tribal 27 for the rougher incoming tide (with standing waves). I'm still gaining trust with this board as it's more flighty than my IS87. It is quick though, 36.5knots on the second run which is a PB for a slalom board for me.  It is interesting to note it was basically as quick as W49...perhaps that would change when I get to use my 5.2. 

I found there is one downside to this board....it does not like slowing down!  I had a big off when trying to control the board at the end of the run (standing waves did not help.) After that crash I was a bit dazed and cold so spent the next 30mins sailing/swimming/drifting with my kit back to the launch site. 

The 4th best 10sec run was on Falcon 79. All other speeds were on the W49. 

I'm really keen to see how fast I can go when the starboard run is much broader!
