Strangely dissatisfying day. Gusty as anything. I arrived to put up a 6.4 / isonic 87 as it was maxing at about 25 knots. No sooner did I get on the water, and it blew up to 35knots and the 6.4 felt felt far too heavy. Struggled for about an hour but never got a decent run in. Came in and put up 5.8 + Falcon Speed but then it eased off - although these were the fastest runs. Back on the 6.4 / isonc 87 and after a few runs it switched on again and I was maxed out - eventually retired knackederd and without a decent speed to show for the day. I begin to think that maybe I am not a speedsailor - just a slalom sailor who likes to know how fast he is going - I do not have much patience tweaking settings and prefer to just get out and sail with everything in the same place.
