Before the start of the day Kees, Harald and yourstruly had a nice converstation on gear. I had a Weedspeed 32 with me. Kees told me immediately the 32 is way too large for the F99. Harald told me it's perfect. Kees is about my size. Harald is way taller. As I didn't sail them for years I just tried it, only to find out the fin worked like a bucket behin my board.  I could hardly get the board over 60 as it was glued to the water for about 100cm. Then I remembered I sailed 28cm back then on a 62 wide board. 

After changing the fin I could just catch two nice gusts and then the summer walk back home :-). Still a nice day and finally a first impression on the Venom 6.9. It's lighter than last years model which was already really good and fast for a 7.0, but I will never like any sail larger than 6.3 :-). I'm an old fart used to old school speedsurfing and as I grow older things probably get worse :-).
