Well that was a long wait, but worth it in the end!

At around 9 it looked promising so I decided to rig the 7.8 straightaway and wanted to hit the water, but then the wind had dropped completely. Luckily the wind slowly increased later on and at some point I was able to get on the plane and stay planing most of the time. Good things do come to those who wait apparently.

All in all a nice day on the water with more company than I expected.
