Interesting day on the water. The inner damms were a bit up and down when we started at 09.15 so after a couple of runs we surfed to the outer damms. Angle was good and wind picked up and played along as well.

Unfortunately Floris snapped his harnass in the middle of a run resulting in a big crash, broken mast, broken board, broken boom but... his spirit and motivation still in tact!!!

We derigged the gear and took turns on my kit for the rest of the session.

Short swim session from to the southern dam after which it became clear that swimming for 1 km from Stamperplaat back to Zonnemaire would be too tricky. With the help of staatsbosbeheer (...) and the KNRM he got back to shore safely.

Thanks a lot to the guys on board. This was the forth time in three years. Once for myself after my board broke in half and three times for surfbuddies. It gives one peace of mind knowing that if things break down or you're in trouble, you're not alone in the world.

Maxed out just over 45 knots. happy with the speed on this location in these conditions.
