That was a big day! Started off dead southerly around 20-30kts...bit tough going on the Mistral 41 and 5.2m. I managed to get around a 38 average doing port tack on the east course - quite good fun. The wind then started to pick up and swing SW. It got really windy but the water state was about as knarly as I've seen it...not sure what was going on but there was a nasty 200m patch of rolling chop/swell right on the speed run that.I got fully airbourne on once! It sounds like I'm complaining but actually super happy - another great day at Southend and good to meet some new faces. The new sails feel very good...guess I would say that though :-)
