Monday 12th July- Windsurf ** - The Manor at Felixstowe – sunny periods.

Exocet RF 91 AST with Slingshot Hover Glide 76 with Tushingham Lightning 7.8m.

Foil – 13.41 knot max, 11.79 knot ave ., 3.26 knot hour, 11.11 knot mile, 6.10 km., 8.04 knot alpha.

Today looked the best chance to get out on the foil so after exercises in the garden, lunch I headed down to The Manor where Michael and Robert were already there. Mag came with me so she could walk home but this venue in the summer in not ideal on a nice day as the car park is free and popular with other beach users! I couldn’t get near the front and park several rows back:( Lightweights Michael and Robert were rigging 7.2 and 6.5 respectively but it did look very light. I rigged my 7.8 but was in no hurry to get on the water as Michael wobbled off the beach but did get going eventually but it was very no/off with a lot of slogging. I decided to give it a go in the end and set off and was surprised to fly out, I had moved the mast back from my first session and that seemed much better. I then had a good beat to the end of Landguard beach but then the wind dropped really light so I headed back, lucky really as I had another big hole in my sail, more tap required!
