As nice as a January day can be in the UK; warm-ish (12 degrees), not-raining, bright and windy. Ideally I would have had the 5.4m NP Slalom MK:II that I have ordered but being as they aren't available yet, I had to make do with my 6.2m and was somewhat overpowered during the best gusts. The lake was also choppier than I'd have liked for speed sailing but it was good practice for me nonetheless. Had I been on a slightly smaller sail I think that I would have been able to stay in control for more of the time and sailed a bit faster. I will look forward to trying out my 5.4m in similar conditions!
