The second nice speed session of this Spring season at Sandy Point.

The first with the brand new 2017 Koncept. :-)

The sail felt great even when I was grossly overpowered in a squall.

The wind started a bit underpowered. Probably around 20-25 knots WSW. Did a few runs in mid to high 30's. Then it changed more West and picked up to around 30 knots with a few brief squalls to nearly 40 knots. I jagged on of those squalls halfway down the course but was really broad. I felt like I was being dragged over the front, but to compensite I had to get low and push hard trough the front foot while rattling through evil chop. It felt like it should be really fast, but wasn't. Only just a 42 peak. I think it was becuse the board was being driven down so hard on the water and too broad.

Another couple of 41 peaks and the wind was far too West making runs extremly difficult and short so I called it a day.

Nice to sail with Spotty, Martin, Mat, Bradman and the SHQ crew on their Frestyle/Wave boards. :-)
