This is a reference post — so that next time it's mid-20s and flooding, i don't go to third looking for speed…

i had hoped to find flattish and smoothish water in the channel; instead i found closely-spaced disorganised chop with lots of criss-cross in the channel and far side, and heinous chop on the inside (i expected that) that even the regulars on bump gear found gnarly

looking at GPS3 for records on this spot, i noticed it hasn't had much activity, and not great speeds either ;)

maybe it only works in less wind, and in that case speeds aren't good?
