First day of what looks like a 4 day Easterly. 20-25 knot with the odd brief gust to high 20's. The wind had a bit of ESE in it and as always when this is the case it was affected by the North end of the Prom making it very gusty and swinging wildly from ENE to ESE.

It was quite a low tide and the usual Easterly speed run was a bit too broad. Just as well as it was also too shallow. We took some shovels down to knock off the shallow bits but we got carried away sailing and neglected it. Funny about that....

It was pot luck to get a gust from the right direction in the short flat section and I only got a couple but they were really nice.
