Good Day, and my form was certainly better than of recent, Arrived at 8am, and was on the water by 9am, the course was initially a little too broad with rolling swell. Within ten minutes the swell had gone and the angle had improved a touch but still broad at 125-135. Tuned the set-up a bit and found a really high boom and long lines the best set-up, this enabled me to hold the rig really upright. I was entering the course with no slingshot but building speed up and peaks were at the bottom of the course. The wind was very clean for Daymer, best run was a smooth glide, with very little movement of the rig. Biggest crash for a while was on the last run, trying to get a slingshot out of the chop, I was catapulted into the sail and broke a batten, my head and neck are still aching.
Some good sailing from Thor, He's gonna be very quick once he gets some better equipment and tuned up, his sail had a hole in it today!!. I think his massive strength and excellent board trim will really stand out on those high wind days. He was also doing some huge jumps on my Sonic, which I wasn't happy about, but I can't duff him up anymore since he's one of the toughest Marines at Lympstone.
