Luckily I am still not too old for this game :-) It was indeed my trim that cause the off day. the analysis on the way back was correct. I had to enter the runs differently and the fin change made the true difference. The weed Sped is a great speed fin for spots like Horst  or other open flat water spots with weed or low chop where you can first go down wind and then slingshot yourself into the run but at the Houw you need power on the fin at cross wind as the speedcourse is very short and the entry is super critical.

Yesterday I lacked entry speed.and today the entry speed was around 6 km higher before bearing off, eventhough the wind was clearly less than yesterday. I am happy I found the weak spot.

The new low/high aspect ASY fin which Patrik Diethelm talked about with us works a dream. It is steady and it gives lots of lift. As the spot is shallow it adds to the feeling of safety. Ayhow, happy with the progress and looking forward to the next hiher wind day at the Houw so I can find out about the gap with Sander and co.
