GPA Aalsmeer was on this day, and I thought: ''Hey, why not compete with the FW guys on my slalomboard?''. Went on the water, but it seemed too big so I rigged 7.0 Lightning. At the start, it already became clear that I would be lucky if I'd even finish the race. About 15 km. upwind and 1 hour later, I arrived at the other side of the lake. Immediately went fully downwind and after half an hour I was back (could have been faster, but due to the upcoming mini-storm, I had to point higher). I tried another round (there were three rounds) but the wind started to weaken, and so I had to give up.

So my first windsurfing match wasn't véry good, but at least I got some PR's for this board and I won a véry nice Gearbag in the lottery!

Great day after all, next year I'll be present too!
