Quick session before work, not enough wind , but got ro rig my sail to the right setting, which makes a difference, took time to actually downhaul /outhaul to the recomended setting...431/187.
got the wake up call after sailing WestKirby where I struggled to pass 40 knots where conditions were not great but good enough.
then I looked at pictures that Oisin sent... the sail looked like a big bag!! not opening, felt also top heavy.... my stance was bad too, trying to cope to sail a bag!!!! the boom was at 184 and downhaul probably 427 or so!!!!
So today straight away the sail felt lighter, and was "breathing", the leech opened over a good half, and the center of effort was more backward, so I could actually sheet in and face the sail!! so Iwill try that next time if decent wind, bloody hell can't beleive I haven't done that earlier!!!
