Nice day on the Koncept 5.8. I was clearly undepowred with some lighter riders using even 7.0 sails. I am impressed by the grunt power of the sail and can see why it's suited for less experienced riders. There is a lot of room for tiny mistakes. The sail helps you through the lulls. The funny thing is that the 5.8 feels like a 6.2 powerwise. the pull is clearly different from the KA Race I used last time. Just like it's brother the Koncept has gotten softer and easier to handle compared to last year.

In the gusts the sail was extremely well behaved and although personally I like the Race a bit more as it gives me the opportunity to play around with the sail I really don't thin in mid wind this sail in any respect will be slower than a pure race sail on a free GPS course.

The mXr Weed Speed 26 and Ultimate Speed Machine felt sweet as well. The USM is just a little bigger than the Rockstar 54 but has got substantially more drive in mid wind because of the underwatership. It sails free and is more demanding on the legs.

I lacked one more run as in one run my front foot slipped out of the strap at 38 knots. Instead of opening up the sail I was hoovering on one leg trying to put it back in while keeping power on the sail. It showed me once again I am completely losing my head when I am in the middle of speedruns. The hook was bent to a nearly straight positieon due to the impact so I had to go back. After that the wind was gone. Thanks for borrowing the other harness hook Roger. Forgot to give it back but will do so next time :-)
