Up on Holiday in Weymouth this week and stayed at the Littlesea Park on a cheap deal, had a great time with the family and also got the opportunity to sail.

There was a bit of wind pretty much all week but thursday gave the best conditions and I got a decent little window to sail in. Heavy rain all day and the the wind started to pick up in the afternoon. Got on the water about 4.30 and had a really fun sail in moderate conditions, the wind was SSW and a little broad and too light to sail down the main south - north course. All my sailing was therefore carried out at the south end, bearing off towards the new piers and pontoons, I remember sailing in this section years ago but not much room now! Anyway got a 37vmax nearly sailing into the rocks.

The Olympic Torch and the wind turned up just before seven and suddenly I was totally overpowered and had to get back tothe carpark to leave. Although I did get to see the torch change over in a gale which fortunately worked..!! Pete turned up at this point, sorry I missed you, hopefully see you in Cornwall soon!
