The wind was a little gusty but it was unexpectedly nice to sail today. I tested quite some fins today. One of them I want to mention: the UFO Wide 40 degrees 26. I heard many people complain about the weed sticking to their fins. the UFO 40 degrees is an inbetween fin. As Horst doesn't need pure weedfins when at speed I think this fin could prove to be the solution. Compared to the tailwidth the fin is super short, but it really felt sweet, also upwind. Off course it doesn't work like a normal high aspect fin running upwind, but for sure it is a lot better than a normal weedfin. The speed was there as well in the fin. I want to test a 28 as I feel that will be the sweet size for this board. the highest run was set with the UFO 34, so I post that one.
