Great day out with Ant, Mike, Sam and Jason.  wind was light and very marginal for 6.2 but we clocked up some nice miles, had some fun drag racing and generally a good crack.

Nice low wind session with the boys.. it was 8 c so super tropical.

I had a bit of bad luck towards the end of the session at the top of the west course, i hit a sandbar resulting in breaking my boom, damaging my sail and fin, so had to de-rig out on the course and swim, walk, drag my kit back to shore only just  in time before dark and the fast rising tide.. close one.

This was my first time sailing the ray The course ws rather square and the best runs were had on port tack The wind that was promised did not arrive and I was underpowered most of the time on my 6.4 A 7.0 and more powerful fin may have returned some better speeds Overall I really enjoyed my session with the guys and getting to know another new spot

Great to be back on the water. It's been 5 weeks since my last session!

This was a pleasant light wind session at the Ray with Ant, Ian, Jason and Sam. Good for my rehabilitation!

I started off trying for a decent hour result but the wind had other ideas after 40 minutes. I had my longest runs ever for Southend (exactly 3km) and I was enjoying the back and forth saling. I should probably have mixed it up a bit and tried for more 10s runs or 500m.

Ian got some cool video snippets on his iPhone. I managed to get my sail over his head whilst gybing. :)

Excellent day at the ray with the guys, whilst the wind didn't reach it's forecast potential, it was areally enjoyable sail and some good company.
