Great first day at La Franqui

First day of competition at MDV. Not so fast place as the spot at waterpump and without slingshot even slower;-(. But nice to compete once in a while on a fixed course. Learned to sail 5km/h on my 53 liter speedboard behind the kiters that tried to line up very slowly. Super tired now, hope i survive this week.

Don't have the final results after the 3 heats we sailed, but i think i'm second windsurfer behind A2. Tomorrow with bigger gear (i expect) it will be thougher with all those slalom guys.

Top eerste dag van de surfvakantie op Franqui. Mooie condities want de zandbanken hebben zich teruggetrokken. Watse heeft zijn pr verbroken, van harte! Mooie opmaak naar morgen en (hopelijk) vrijdag.

Zijn overigens een bed & breakfast begonnen toen ook meneer Huitema zich afvroeg of er nog een slaapplek beschikbaar was :-)

long day on the water, started off with 6.3 and the isonic 90, switched to the 44 speed and later also switched down to 5.4 Koncept on the W44. In the end I think I got the settings down right and the set up felt really balanced and the sail perfectly light, stable and fast. the fin was really great all in all some improvements from yesterday this second session at la franqui

all in all it was a lot of fun and awesome conditions, a little bit square and big slingshots into the chop. only just one crash in the end, might have been getting tired.

I was very slow all the day...except in the bigs gusts at the end of the long session 152 km

Great session with a little bit dissapointing speeds.

Sessie 23: De eerste dag op La Franqui! Samen met Anne en Watse! Een goed begin is het halve werk en dat valt na een nachtje doorrijden soms ff niet mee :-) De camping en Bed & Breakfast van A & W ziet er tot in de puntjes verzorgd uit! De week lacht ons toe, helaas alleen geen (goede) internet verbinding zodat GPS-resultaten wat later komen!
