First sail in over a month and there were a good number of sailors on the water.  I was looking forward to some long runs up to the radio tower but when the wind came in it went NW.  Headed out on the 10 early but was way underfinned with a 46 - my light wind fin is out of action.  I was sad to hear about PJ's phantom going AWOL while he was filming me.  If I had known he was shooting at the time I may have been able to see where it touched down.  Perfect excuse for that upgrade to the 3 x gimble PJ!

So when the wind arrived I headed upwind to have a sticky beak and found some nice weed growing, it wasn't very fast(behind the wind line) but if it spreads we might have a good option from SW to NW.  I persisted up the top but the gusts were vicious and the direction changing so never managed to get settled.  I also sold my go-to UFO38 which would have been nicer in the confused chop.  The carbon rockit has a lot of lift for its size and was too powerful to hold off the wind - perfect for slalom though.  I just left enough in the tank to get back downwind and found the nwater was less confused near the launch but the wind was not as strong.  I might have gone faster chasing the troughs but it was time to call it a day after pumping away on the 10 in the morning.  Great to see some new faces, some returning after a 20 yr break.
