Too broad for the short course and very sqaure on the long course.

The squalls were absolutely brutal. Got caught off the bank by one and it took my 5 minutes to swim 30m upwind in 45 knots. I think Snake got caught out in the same one and ended up a long way downwind - I bet he was glad to get back to shore.

Great respect for those who stayed out for 5 or more runs.; I managed 3 then gave up. Rame Weather was showing 65kt gusts at 1300 as Snake and Johnny were drifting towards the dockyard. Johnny's 39kt vmax is v impressive.

Christmas excesses seem to have taken thier toll. could not hang on to the 5.2. squalls were evil and i was lucky to get back to land unassisted.  Good to see all the boys out and the return of Chris Cunningham after a  number of years.
