Some early morning sailing before having to pack for the flight home tomorrow :( Had some good runs, but the wind was a bit more up and down later on. Off to pack now.

Another nice and windy day at Karpathos. Just could not get any real speeds. First went out with the 26 cm fin but then I could not bring good speed to the start of the broad leg. At 12.15 I changed to the 33 cm and this was better and some faster. I quite mis the 30  fin wich broke out of the board hitting the reef over a week ago. 

The sail set really nice, I probably was out on the biggest sail today. It felt like I could go faster because the sail really pulled well but I just couldn't make it happen. Al around me the others were charging with Daniel going way past 40 knots and Johan and Markus also going faster then me. This kept me making a lot of runs trying to be competative. In  total I surfed like 5 hours with just a 30 min brake wen I changed the fin.  

Otäckt , otroligt byigt! Börjar tröttna på stället.

Sessie 67: The 70 AVG is close but in terms of Pink Floyd "One of thes days..."  Just an average day on Paradise Bay with Luca & Oane.

Last day in paradise:-(. 

Didn't really get the speeds I was looking for this year on my runs, topspeed is ok but struggle to hold out my runs in lenght.

But best thing i found out is that mXr Lovemachine 49 is super nice here for windy days with 6.3.

Easier to start and sail than my PD 53 and also feels faster, PD 53 feels more like an small slalom board.

Would love to have some more Lovemachines in my quiver;-).

Also all mXr fins I have been testing are great! Asy HA feelt nice but a bit hard to sail and here on Karpathos you need control also on upwind. UFO and UFO rake 30 are awesum fins!!

Last day of the event. We have had a great stay at Karpathos, Great to meet so many easy going speedsurfers especially from Nederlands this year.

Concratulations Daniel, until about 11.55 o clock I was in the lead, but then you had a fantastic run!!!

Einfach unglaublich auf der Insel. Das Wasser ist so schön, der Wind so toll,man kann den ganzen Tag Surfen. Kommen gerade zurück von einem Abendessausflug mit dem Moped nach Pygadia. Wir haben ziemlich viel gegessen so hat uns der Wind hinter dem Berg nicht verblasen. Gute Heimreise den Schwedischen und Holländischen Jungs und viel Glück für Namibia.

Coming back to Karpathos feels a bit like coming home! Always meeting the same nice people and sailing in the typical conditions on the first day!

Frist warm up session in the afternoon - decided to take the new IS90 and not the speed board (chicken). Wind was quite strong and the slalom board was a bit to big, but for first day it was working very well. Results are quite ok and promising for the next 20 (!) days I am here!

Karpathos rulez!!
