As the forecast was south me and the camel tried a new spot in the fleet tried a couple of different runs but it  really didnt happen. So we made the decision to derig and head over to Portland. We missed the best of the wind because of our fleet adventure  but just about managed to get 5 runs in before the wind backed right off. I probably did the same amount of swimming as sailing in the very up and down southerly.
Good to try something new as we've looked at the fleet so many times before maybe next time in a different direction.
Got up early to catch an early session but the rain was torrential, came back for a session at lunch time.  Too southerly for the usual speed strip to work but the chop wasn't bad, too sheltered right up at Osprey Quay.

Could have probably used a bigger sail, Pete was on  7 meter
First time with seat harness, felt strange at first, need to change stance as was still using same technique as waist harness.
after sitting in traffic for 1 & half hours i was ready for a bit of adventure to sail the fleet for the first time. gutted it didnt work the matrix tried hard but it wasnt to be next time maybe. had a good time in the harbour as always.
