Essentially had no time for surf today, but aimed at squeezing in two hour nevertheless, 06:00-08:00. The day started really poor. Wanted to try my new speedboard, but there was not enough wind. Was a bit frustrated by the new board, and thought I had bought a too extreme one. Had to switch to the slalomboard, and had poor to fair sailing. Janne and Anders called me on the water and I told about the poor conditions. I hope I did not fool anyone to go to Torkelstorp. Then the wind gradually increased and I could switch back to the speedboard. I was supposed to quit sailing by now, but just could not resist continuing. Started with Falcon 30cm fin. When the wind picked up even more, it became a bit big, and I switched down to Falcon 26cm. Now the board really started to work. It was a completely new experience to sail with such a dedicated speedboard. It worked extremely nice in the harder wind and it was just flying over the chop. I think there are many knots still to get from this board - it is a very remarkably good board. Best conditions were at the end, but I really had to stop. Was on overtime by long when stopping. Essentially all the fastest runs were at the very end and I just knew that I could get over 35 knots on 5 x 10s if I just could do a few more runs, but that has to wait until next time. I was wearing a hope made "weight vest" consisting of to cotton sweaters under my wet suit. Maybe 2-3kg very comfortably distributed. I think I will use that set-up often when it is very windy. Personal record on Max display speed, fastest 2 sec, 10s, 100m, 250m and 5x10s.
