I decided to try out my new JP Speed 45 on the lake but the conditions were far from ideal. The wind dropped shortly before I went out and the flukey SW wind (dead onshore) made getting away really difficult. I was forced to swim out beyond the piles of bricks to avoid damaging the board or fin. Once I was sailing the lulls were far too frequent and I was often waist deep in water!
On the upside, I can say that I have sailed it now and was even able to gybe it in the chop. The board has definitely got a huge amount of speed potential but I will be saving it for WK and the Ray in future.
