Began in the afternoon after lunch without any wind. Was thinking about taking the 7.6 + 125 liter, but the wind picked up a bit.
At the end (1600 hours) it really picked up, but I had to stop. So I guess I missed the best part.

Leuke avond in Herkingen. Het ging me beter af vandaag, of zou dat aan de vertrouwde combi WS58 + 6.7 liggen ?
NW is (voor mij) sowieso toffer wegens runs weg van de haven, wind van rechts en gijpen in de golven voor het eilandje !
Opvallend weinig Belgen aanwezig vandaag.

Made a gamble this evening. Was very late at Herkingen but i thought i only need 5 runs.... Made 9, the fastest one in total darkness.
Watch out for the speeds from Jacques in the evening, insane sailing action in total darkness!! I think he found his box of luck again and more important, he left his brains in the car....

Gijpjes liepen lekker.
Op gebied van topsnelheid kreeg ik er niet zo veel uit naar mijn zin.
Mooie surfnamiddag.

How fast can one go in the dark? Just before sunset the wind finally hit. I lent out my 6.2 to Jacques as I messed up his mast a little earlier. When it got dark the wind swung around and my 5.5. felt ok but too small for the wind direction. I also didn't dare to bear off anymore as I wasn't sure where my sailing buddies haha. Pretty crazy session as we could hardly see the poles near the stone wall in the end. Jacques must have set a world record sailing after sunset!

Started at 17.00 pm with the 7,0. I wanted to change to 6,2 a little earlier but Martin was on my 6,2 and Wouter Verhulst on Martin's 5,5. This was the best i was able to do in square wind with my 7,0 today.

Wouter arrived at 19 hours and i wanted to quit as my 7,0 was a little bit to big. But Wouter checked the latest weather forecast with increasing wind and turning to NW. This came a little bit late and we started to make good runs when the darkness was already there. I wasn't afraid as i didn't saw any gusts and chop, the set felt great, so no reason to slow down.
Going over 80km/h in complete darkness is real adrenaline.
When i was tested for the army they told me i have to eyes to become a F16 pilot, so maybe this is the reason i saw a little bit more than the other guys.
First time i felt my Brace set in Brace look alike conditions. I'm convinced i can break my pr with this board.
Number 16 40 knots+ average in 2009.
