Nice session after a hard HOT day work on the refinery.
The Vapor 6.0 works very well. I put the extension on 8, and leaving about 0.5 cm. So 7.5 in totall. That is 2.5 cm more than recommended.
First time out with the 27 cm caspar. Very nice fin, no spin outs at all. I need some wind to get going.
Overall it was a nice afternoon/evening. Heavy storms with thunderclouds were predicted.
indeed we had 1 thunderstorm. it came very fast and I almost shit my pants when the first lighting striked almost above our heads.
I think I never swimmed so fast into the harbour.

Manual posting.
Tested and tried all 3 JP Speedboards. Finally the smallest suits these conditions the best and i thought i was smoking compared to the rest. But Martin was smoking even harder and he almost hit the 80km/h with only a 5,5! I was not even powered with my 6,2.
When he told me with a smile he went 80 i was not even listening because with this wind you can not go 80 with a 5,5. But after a few minutes he told me again, Jacques i did 80. What? Now? How? With the 5,5? Still don't believe it, haha.
He told me only 15 times today that he liked the boards aswell and i never saw him sailing with a non stop smile on his face. The 45 will be our brace board for sure!

Finally the first test on the new JP speedboards. Boy I missed them. I only had a light wind speed/slalomboard and a 50+ speedboard up till now and I really had to fight my way up in the rankings most sessions. I used the 54 and 45 board and set the fastest speeds with the 45 and 5.5. Evo 11. The boards really help me to get back to my beloved sailingstyle and use small sailsizes. The wind was super light for the 5.5 but still the combo was flying. I can push the tail and lift it out of the water, use a more upright stance without having to fear the combo gets sticky. The C3 Venoms are performing great with the board. Needless to say I am stoked about the day and I feel my speedseason only just started.

after my Oesterdam session I decided to check Herkingen. Pretty square, but lots of fun. Sundowner at the spot. The water was really warm.

Volgende keer beter. :-)
ps. he mar, moest je niet barbeknoeien? ;-)
