Good day for me first heat ended up 10th because i couldn't get any good gust on the course but still not bad.
Second heat i was very tired could barely hold onbut i was doing very well ended up 3position if i was fitter i could have taken second but Finian was going to fast for me .
Hope i can keep my position fastest dutch overall and i think i am in the top 5 now with a 3,3,6and a 10th position it's nice to kick some pro ass hahaha
Who's the biatch now ;)
Looks like another good day for the dutch rider.

Good work, Hans!
Day 2 and still no joy with gusts. Its a total dice roll here. I watched the 2nd silver fleet today and saw 3 or 4 gusts come through that one or two people were able to capitalise on- all of them made the top 5. This morning I could barely hold up a sandwich. All due to the first round yesterday... but they came good during the day. First round I raced on the SP53 and 7.8m. Was in 3rd for the first half then some good gusts came through at the end and I watched my place dropping out the door. My last run was 10 seconds late to the start (the course closed) and was 1 knot faster on 10 sec than the next best... oh well. That was my gust but it came too late. The second round wasnt much better. Watched my ranking dropping all through the round unable to find wind at the start. Reeled off a string of 37s and a 38 but couldnt get the start. Going back upwind I saw some others get the lucky gust there. Maybe next rounds we will see some more random shuffles of positions. The guys who are on top are making the most of the conditions for sure. Its great to see some new faces in the mix! Jacques and I seem to be having a points battle. We were equal points this morning but neither of us know how we will do today since we were so close. I only did runs in the rounds to save my arms. I have to say the new sails are feeling really really good so I cant blame my gear :)
@ Hans: I think you make everybody crazy with your Bluesteel faces ;-).
Keep everything in one piece and watch out for the 'Elan...'.
Nice day at Karpathos!
As the speed course was mostly blocked by the World Cup guys today - and I really don't wanted to mess up with them ....

I went for a PB in 1 hour down in the chop in Gun Bay. It went out quite well, was well powered with 6.2
some runs between the World Cup .....
Another hard day at the office!

Today I was privilleged to go up and down the silver fleet. I had to run 4 heats for 2 races. The result is hands full of holes and a very tired body. I think I do know why I cannot go fast anymore: fatigue. Running to events back to back, is not very wise. Both body and mind  are very tired. Frustration kicks in and the whole think is not much fun anymore. I urgently need a rest. Hope the wind dies a bit for a day or two
After day 2 we are getting more into the realistic results. Now you can see who is the most overall, most lucky or just best windsurfer.I´m sailing just very consistent around the 10th place, today again a 8th (first dutch) and a ??? nodbody knows as almost everybody from 3rd to 15th place have runs of 38 and 37. I had 2 runs of 37,5 on the display in the 5th heat and they say i´m 13th, but i spoke with the other riders and they have a 38 and 37,5 and they are 6th......Never raced that close. We will see the results tomorrow. My results are simular to Fuerte 2008, Peter and Ben are sailing constant as expected in the top 10 aswell, Jurjen is not consistent, but sailing good, Dirk is peaking and is up and down. Not strange as this is his first big competition. Hans surprised us yesterday and today he just keep on surprising everybody. Can´t believe what he is doing. The last 100 sessions with Hans i just lost twice from him and now i´m loosing all the time. He is in the winning mood and feeling good.As i´m 24 hours a day with him i see him becomming the big macho man and getting more confident and he deserves it after all that training.I´m still testing and learning about my new material  (boards), after the silver fleet i went out with the 7,0 and the 49, this set i have to fine tune, this can be a unexpected killer combo with a 28cm fin.First run with this set was directly my highest but when the wind increased in the 5th heat i went maybe to fast to 6,2 to try to sail more efficient. Big mistake as the wind dropped a little bit af this change. Even Antoine don´t know his settings right now and we learn from each other. Bad preparation for the event but the boards were not available earlier than this. Chris Lockwood is also not ruling with his boards so i don´t think i would be faster on my previous speed boards. I´m just not better than the results i have right now. Hope for a lucky gust once in the next 3 days.
