Great sail today on the esturary good to have wind and water.Nice and powered up on 7.0.

I might have to consider early retirement so I can enjoy more midday sessions like this!

CA SL103, Loft RB 7.0, VV38

Christchurch Estuary, NZ

Christchurch Estuary, Nice powered up session until I broke my leg/ankle.

I was heading upwind into the river mouth for 2nd time and hopped off for a look at water depth and bang. Must have been going faster than I thought!

It was interesting getting ashore and I was wondering how I was going to get home when I saw Rob Dinks and got his attention.

He sure saved my bacon and got an ambo. Big thanks Rob.

I reckon he was happy to be the rescuer for a change.

Ambo had to come in through the top track from Bridge St to find me.

2 1/2 hours later I got to hospital.

Broken my fib and tib and dislocated the ankle joint.

Nice session up until then. SL68, NCX 6.5, Iwi SL2 37fin

What a great organisation is St Johns Ambulance. A shame they still have to go begging.
