Next day and the wind had dropped back a bit so went to the Goya centre and rented the Nexus 5.9 and Carrera 116, much more of a freeride combo than the Firemove the day before. Its a much much better piece of kit in the bumpy stuff, points and bears off well and in general you can settle back and enjoy the ride vs the Firemove that jsut felt like it was going to chuck you off all the time. Nice to be on such new and crisp kit that was correctly DH and OH'd by the owner and I was really surprised how well the board performed even with just a 30cm fin, the sail was perfectly balanced and super easy at all times.
