First time sailing here and went out on my formula board launching from north end on the east side. I had just missed decent breeze at the weekend and this looked the best day of the week so gave it a go. Wasn't expecting much from the breeze and amazingly it worked out better than I thought upwind and I got a planning on quite a few upwind stretches although was really hunting for pressure all the time. The gusts were only lasting for a few minutes max and there was a lot of opumping required on this narro lake. Nice just to get on the water with a sail rather than a paddle.
