Not been windsurfing since 5th September so nice to get out and sail, today made mistakes and learning curve day. 
1) worn weight jacket when wind not strong enough to warrant it with 6kg  40mph max on the gust but normal wind speed much lower makes it harder to get going and heavy when walking back on the wall.

2) Boom gradually slipped down and found out how critical on a speed board to keep it high enough, result made getting back to start point difficult as noise would spin into wind also centre of gravity in sail wrong place so again on power in sail so made it difficult to start off in lighter winds, did not release it and thought my sailing had got totally shit, durrrrrrrr. 
So mid afternoon weight jacket off,(Dave willows was correct) and put boom back up and wow made it soooo much easier to sail, weight jackets stop the board planning in lighter winds and had so many failed starts, soon as that jacket was off it make getting on the board so much easier and felt like Linford Christie walking and evern running back along the wall lol. one the upside, light rain showers cleared so nice and sunny, fair few on the lake gybing on the wall so had to get timing right when to go, still nice to be back on the water. Wind direction west and did swing slight north then back to flatter west later afternoon. only me Mark Hayford and Dave willows were the only speed sailer out today and normal car park gybers speed, only one board and sail today, Isonic 44 and 5.2m Evo 9 sail, most of the time sail was to small, look forward to next visit.

Battery was low on other GW-60 WATCH so put this spare on, oh bugger, also low battery as not charged since 05 sept 2020, This is after took weight jacket off and put boom back up after not noticing it had slipped down, wind was dropping off and battery died not long afterwards, one of those days lol. 

Work got in the way this morning, so didn't get on the water until miday. From what Dave and Adrian said, I think I missed the magic 30 minutes, Dave had just done a 41k run on his Simmer speedboard, well done. Good direction, but very gusty on/off winds. I was struggling on the big speedboard to keep up with the smaller speedboards, I need to figure out these gusty winds. Far from perfect winds, but was fun.
