The forecast had all the signs of a good session but unfortunately it didn't deliver. Very unsettled and too broad most of the time. Good to keep fit and plenty more wind on the way this week.

Well storm Ciara flashed her knickers and then ran away.
The good wind was before the tide had dropped enough.
Wind was really up and down, with 30 degree wind shifts.  Only got one semi decent run. Still it was mild, and as the old saying goes:  if you don't go, you won't know. Glad to have tried anyway, and sailed with my buddy Jeff again :)

My first ever experience sailing a speed board proper. What a buzz. thanks to Oisin Van Geldern for the laon of the board and advice on getting it going. A true legend of Irish windsurfing

Bit of a drive for me but if one wants to do something then effort has to be made. My first ever runs on a proper speed board, what a rush! Everyone should try Dungarvan at least once. Happy with my times as I now have a starting point. Great meeting Marc and Jeff, names in windsurf folklore that i can finally put faces to. Many thanks to Oisin for the loan of the board and tips on getting it going, a true legeng of Irish windsurfing.

Hopefully we'll get more working days soon
